Suspension, which sometimes looks simple, is actually quite complex on the inside. Modern bikes have evolved over the years to take more and more abuse from rider and terrain. This evolution has ushered in a new era of high quality suspension components. This new generation of suspension gives the rider the confidence to ride or race at a higher level, improve the comfort of their ride, or simply customize their bike specifically for themselves. Intimate knowledge and special tools are required to accurately service and tune many modern OEM and aftermarket forks/shocks.
With multiple years tuning Offroad and Roadrace bikes on the professional level, our suspension department has the technical experience and attention to detail required to get your suspension serviced and dialed to your personal needs. Coupled with a vast stock of OEM spare parts, state of the art servicing/tuning tools (including our Andreani SP3 Vacuum Pump), and our continued update training with the industries top manufactures, we have the resources that go above and beyond. All services are complemented with full documentation of work preformed, settings changed and parts replaced. Our overall goal is to let the rider play an active role in the tuning process of their bike, which is reinforced through detailed discussions before and after our work is performed.
Fork or Shock Service
-
Suspension is all in the details, so why overlook the small stuff? Much more than a simple “oil change”, our fork and shock service is an extremely detailed process. We take everything apart, clean and inspect each item individually. This ensures everything is working exactly as it should, thus leaving no variable overlooked.
-
Frequent suspension service lets the customer ride with more confidence, keeps them safer when pushing the limits and helps eliminate costly repairs from lack of maintenance.
-
On certain mass produced OEM suspension components, this is a recommended option after the first 10-20 hours of use. An initial service will remove any oil contamination that usually occurs during the initial break-in. Remember, your suspension is no different than your engine, the first oil change is often critical to long term performance.
-
Customers should plan to have their suspension serviced at least once per season, if not more frequent for upper level riders.
-
During every full service, we “blue print” the fork or shock. A “blue print” is a term used for full documentation of all internal settings and comparing them to the standard optimized setting. This will allow us, and the customer, to see anything out of the norm or if the previous owner has modified the suspension.
-
Our blue printing becomes a good platform to offer advice on any setting changes that we feel may greatly benefit the rider.
